ENERGY PROJECT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
Below we explain, step-by-step, how Power Gateway can manage your utility rate and control your operating expenses:
Project feasibility study - Power Gateway’s initial step and preface to the development of your clean, sustainable energy project is to forecast your future energy needs and cross check those predicted needs with your current use. This process can also include a carbon consultation, if your organization is looking beyond lowering its operating costs, to reduce emissions and decrease its carbon footprint.
Project-concept design - We have partnered with a number of engineering firms that specialize in the design aspect of developing your green energy project. These firms are able to create a broad concept and plan for your project that gives you a better understanding of what to expect.
Cost evaluation - At this point in the process Power Gateway can layout, in greater detail, what you can expect as far as cost and future maintenance fees of your power generating system. Here too, we map out the specifics of the capital that our partners and contacts will provide as well as the state and federal government subsidies and tax incentives that your project will qualify for. Also factored into your overall cost evaluation are the tax credits and perceived benefits that are associated with supplementing your energy needs with a sustainable option. This will significantly alter what your long-term costs will be. Also, in many states, any extra energy produced by your power generating system may be sold to your local power grid, thus generating additional cost-savings.
Environmental impact study - It is often a requirement that an investigation be done into the effect that your energy project will have on your surrounding area. The cost here is minimal and, in almost all cases, strengthens your clean energy cause. The environmental impact study can even be used when appealing to local residents, investors, and other stakeholders.
Permitting and licensing - Power Gateway’s skilled, experienced legal team will successfully complete all filings and registrations in obtaining building permits and licensing for the construction and installation of your green energy project, whether it be a co-gen system, wind turbine farm, solar panel project, biomass burning facility, or other power generating systems.
Detailed project design - In this step of the process, Power Gateway’s engineering partners provide a design that includes more specific information about the construction of your self-contained power generating system.
Project management / construction - We offer our years of experience in project management to ensure that your renewable energy initiative is completed in the most cost-effective and time efficient manner possible. Power Gateway’s various partners involved in engineering and construction will ensure that your project meets all permit and regulation specifications.
Operation and maintenance services - Power Gateway offers you continued maintenance of your self-contained electric power generating system for as long as it’s operating and providing your facilities with power.
